About me
This is all about what I do as a Product Designer, and who I am, and my interests.
As a Product Designer…
I look at the entire experience, and not just what happens on a screen. My design process is holistic.
I’m a systems thinker who is comfortable working with complexity. I’m often connecting the bigger picture with the finer details, working across disciplines and helping teams stay aligned.
I operate strategically (roadmapping and sprint planning) and within the details (pixel pushing and design specs). I’m as comfortable shaping direction as I am refining an interaction or reviewing copy. Both are important, and I enjoy switching gears when the work calls for it.
Research sits at the heart of how I create a solution. Understanding people, their needs, motivations, and challenges is what leads to impactful outcomes.
I care about the culture I contribute to. I take pride in adding positively to a team’s culture and finding ways to improve not only the work itself but how we work together.
My professional journey…
Started with the completion of a BCOM at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand.
In 2018, I started my career in CX at Trade Me, the largest online auction and classifieds website in New Zealand. I specialised in customer payments self-service and internal process improvement.
In 2020, I joined the startup Hatch Invest, an early-stage (at the time) FinTech share trading platform. Working closely with the Head of Experience, I helped establish their CX team and later led initiatives to streamline operations and influence product development.
In 2024, I became the Product Designer at Trees That Count, working under Lulu Pachuau, one of NZ’s leading UX practitioners. I designed and delivered features that help funders communicate their environmental impact, enabled planting partners, while also improving CX, internal processes, and delivery practices.
